Role: Trading Support Analyst (Production Support)
Location: Chicago, IL (100% On-site – 5 Days/Week)
Compensation: $53.00/hr (W2)
Contract Duration: 6 Months+
### Position Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber Trading Support Analyst with 8–10 years of experience to provide production support for brokerage trading applications in a high-pressure environment. This role combines financial markets expertise with modern cloud (Azure) and automation skills to ensure system stability, compliance, and rapid incident resolution.
### Key Responsibilities
* Production Support: Provide end-to-end support for brokerage trading apps; troubleshoot and resolve high-severity incidents.
* Incident Management: Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and partner with business users to ensure compliance with IT control standards.
* Cloud & CI/CD: Support applications hosted on Azure, managing pipelines via GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD workflows.
* Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts in Python, Perl, or PowerShell to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
* Data Operations: Utilize advanced SQL (Oracle/MS SQL) for data analysis, troubleshooting, and reporting.
* Reliability: Participate in disaster recovery (DR) exercises and on-call rotations (evenings/weekends) for critical incidents.
### Required Qualifications
* 8–10 years of total experience (minimum 5 years in Financial Services/Capital Markets).
* Cloud Proficiency: 2–3 years of hands-on experience with Azure Platform.
* Technical Stack: Advanced SQL expertise and strong scripting skills (Python preferred).
* Infrastructure: Working knowledge of server/network infrastructure components.
* Soft Skills: Ability to operate independently in a high-pressure trading floor environment.
* Logistics: Must be able to attend an In-Person Interview in Chicago.
