Business Analyst- Senior

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Leads discovery with business units and SMEs to understand goals, user needs, and operational challenges
• Translates business concepts into clear user stories, features, workflows, acceptance criteria, and business rules
• Ensures requirements are testable, unambiguous, and aligned with product outcomes and value
• Identifies and resolves requirement gaps early, long before development or testing begins
• Maintains clear, evolving documentation that supports iterative delivery, including requirements, process flows, acceptance criteria, and user facing artifacts.
• Partners with Development, Testing, Data, OCM/Training, and Implementation teams to ensure shared understanding
• Identifies cross impacts and dependencies across workstreams and collaborates with delivery leadership to ensure coordinated action.
• Breaks down complex or ambiguous problems into structured, actionable insights
• Performs end to end analysis across workflows, systems, and data to uncover root causes
• Supports testing by ensuring coverage aligns with requirements and validating delivered functionality
• Supports UAT planning and readiness by validating test coverage against requirements, coordinating business tester engagement, and ensuring clear acceptance criteria.
• Ensures full traceability of requirements from business needs to delivered functionality
• Collaborates with vendor business analysts, delivery teams, and product specialists to ensure alignment of requirements and solution intent
• Works closely with Product Owners to refine features, define value, and support backlog prioritization
• Focuses on user value, outcomes, and measurable business impact
• Supports iterative delivery and continuous learning cycles

Mandatory Skills:

1. Experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role- 5 years
2. Strong analytical, investigative, and critical thinking skills
3. Proven ability to create clarity, structure ambiguity, Problem solving, root cause analysis, and drive alignment across teams- 5 years
4. Experience translating complex business needs into structured requirements, workflows, and acceptance criteria- 5 years
5. Ability to independently uncover answers, resolve requirement gaps, and drive progress without waiting for direction
6. Partnership with product owners for features refinement and outcome definition- 3 years
7. Cross workstream collaboration (Dev, Data, Testing, OCM, Implementation)- 3 years
8. Supporting testing, UAT, training readiness, and traceability- 3 years
9. Process mapping and workflow design- 3 years
10. End to end analysis across workflows, data, systems, and business rules- 5 years
11. Strong communication skills with the ability to work across business and technical teams
12. Strong written and verbal communication skills across business and technical audiences
13. Skilled in facilitating discussions and driving shared understanding across diverse workstreams
14. Strong attention to detail with the ability to create clarity from complexity
15. Highly proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple moving pieces
16. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and helping teams reach alignment
17. Able to break down complex problems into digestible, actionable parts
18. Adaptable and resilient in environments where priorities and needs evolve quickly
19. Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, information systems, computer science, or a related field
20. Equivalent professional experience may substitute for a degree

Desirable Skills:

1. Experience working in Agile, iterative, or fast paced delivery environments (preferred)- 2 years
2. Product driven delivery, feature refinement, backlog readiness, and outcome alignment- 2 years
3. Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) and/or MS Project- 1 year
