Job Summary

HIRE Technology is looking for a Human Resources Assistant that will support the daily operations of our Client s HR department by providing administrative, operational, and programmatic assistance. This role helps implement local initiatives, execute regional and corporate HR programs, and contributes to creating an environment that attracts, develops, and retains top talent. The HR Assistant assists with core HR processes including hiring, onboarding, employee relations, compliance tracking, and HR program administration while ensuring accuracy, organization, and exceptional service to employees and leaders across the organization.

 

Schedule:

Monday - Friday: 7:45 AM - 5 PM
Onsite position - Houston area candidates only please.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Execute transactional HR processes, including new hire orientation, unemployment claim processing, onboarding, exit interviews, leave administration, return-to-work coordination, and OSHA reporting.
  • Support hiring managers and Talent Acquisition teams in recruitment activities and staffing plans.
  • Assist HR Business Partners in promoting an inclusive and diverse workplace culture.
  • Administer employee engagement and recognition programs to enhance satisfaction and morale.
  • Provide customer support and technical assistance for HR initiatives, projects, and communications.
  • Maintain and track compliance programs; ensure accurate documentation and timely follow up.
  • Create and distribute HR communications such as memos, presentations, surveys, spreadsheets, and reports.
  • Collect, track, and analyze HR data, consolidating information and identifying insights as needed.
  • Provide administrative support for meetings, conference calls, webinars, and training sessions.
  • Maintain organized filing systems (electronic and physical), ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of HR operations.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in Human Resources Generalist, Recruiting, Employee Relations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (email & calendar), and general Microsoft Office usage.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and the ability to interpret policies and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage interruptions effectively.
  • Strong customer service mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze numerical data, follow procedures, and maintain detailed and accurate documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when creating, filing, or organizing documents.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Ability to conduct training sessions and deliver group presentations.
  • Strong business writing, grammar, and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of working independently and proactively solving problems.
  • Experience maintaining alphabetical, numerical, and chronological filing systems.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Payroll processing experience.
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Experience with headcount reporting or workforce analytics.
  • Additional coursework or certification in Human Resources preferred.
