Position: Senior Reporting Developer - Power BI / SSRS / SQL
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Duration: 6 months contract (possibility of an extension)
Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Reporting Developer with expertise in Power BI, SSRS, and SQL to join our team on a contingent resource assignment. The ideal candidate will consult as an expert to develop and influence initiatives for highly complex business and technical needs. This role involves delivering innovative, long-term solutions that require advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. The position will initially require full-time onsite work, transitioning to a hybrid model once the candidate is working independently.
Responsibilities: - Develop, maintain, and support reports using Power BI, Report Builder, and SSRS.
- Write, modify, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries.
- Quickly learn and become proficient in proprietary SQL-based development tools and processes.
- Provide expertise to senior leadership on innovative business solutions.
- Strategically engage with client personnel to address complex challenges and deliver long-term solutions.
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios as needed.
Qualifications: - 7 years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.
- Previous hands-on experience as a Software Developer; business analyst experience alone is not sufficient.
- Advanced SQL expertise, including the ability to read, write, modify, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios (preferred).
- Experience with manual and automated testing methodologies (preferred).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of accounting and financial institutions concepts (preferred).
- Former experience with WF (preferred).

Pay Range: $75.00-80.00/hr on W2
