Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Backend Engineer with strong expertise in cloud-native microservices, financial services domains (especially lending/loans), and scalable distributed systems. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in fast-paced environments involving complex payment workflows, integrations, and data-intensive systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices for large-scale cloud applications
• Work on payment, lending, servicing, and financial workflow systems
• Build and integrate APIs (REST & GraphQL) across distributed systems
• Develop and optimize data pipelines and database interactions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile tools and practices
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance in AWS environments

Required Skills & Experience

Domain Experience

• 5–7+ years of experience in financial services domain:
  • Loans, lending, servicing, insurance, or collections
• Strong understanding of:
  • Payment workflows
  • Delinquency management
  • Financial transaction systems

Backend & Programming

• Strong proficiency in Python
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with microservices architecture
• API development and integration experience

Cloud & AWS

Hands-on experience with AWS services, including:

• Lambda
• API Gateway
• DynamoDB
• RDS
• S3
• EC2
• VPC
• CloudFront
• SNS / SQS
• Kinesis
• OpenSearch / Elasticsearch

Containers & Infrastructure

• Kubernetes (EKS)
• ECS
• Cloud-based microservices architecture

Integration & Messaging

• MuleSoft (API integration, orchestration, data transformation)
• ActiveMQ or similar messaging systems
• GraphQL APIs

Databases

• PostgreSQL
• Redshift
• Snowflake
• NoSQL databases (DynamoDB or equivalent)

Tools & Practices

• Jira
• Confluence
• Agile/Scrum environments

Front-End Exposure (Good to Have)

• 3–5+ years of Angular experience
• HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, JavaScript/TypeScript
• Responsive design and UI/UX understanding
• API integration using REST/JSON/HTTP

Certifications (Preferred)

• AWS Solutions Architect
• AWS Developer or equivalent
