Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL, DB2, TSO, NDVR, and OPC Scheduling. The ideal candidate will have solid analytical abilities, strong troubleshooting skills, and excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL and DB2.
• Perform program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Work extensively in TSO/ISPF environment for development and support activities.
• Manage source code and deployments using NDVR (Endevor).
• Create and maintain batch jobs using OPC Scheduling (IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler).
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform impact analysis and provide accurate effort estimations.
• Support production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.
• Collaborate with QA, business analysts, and other technical teams.
• Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to development standards.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Mainframe development.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• COBOL (Batch & Online)
• DB2
• TSO/ISPF
• NDVR (Endevor)
• OPC Scheduling / Tivoli Workload Scheduler
• Experience with JCL and batch processing.
• Strong SQL and DB2 performance tuning skills.
• Experience in production support and maintenance projects.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
