We are seeking a highly experienced Lead IoT Engineer to drive the design, architecture, and governance of enterprise-scale connected systems. This individual will lead the development of intelligent IoT and edge computing solutions spanning devices, networks, edge platforms, and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in IoT architecture, automation, cloud platforms, APIs, and Python development, with a proven track record delivering large-scale connected systems. This role requires a strong technical leader capable of defining architecture standards, driving platform modernization, and mentoring engineering teams while ensuring security, compliance, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Connected Systems Architecture
  • Design and govern enterprise-scale IoT and edge computing architectures.
  • Define end-to-end solutions across device, edge, network, and cloud layers.
  • Drive the evolution of traditional networks into software-defined, intelligent platforms.
  • Ensure seamless integration between connected devices and enterprise platforms.
Edge Intelligence & Data Platforms
  • Build real-time data collection and processing solutions at the edge.
  • Design telemetry frameworks and scalable data pipelines.
  • Implement data streaming and platform integration capabilities.
  • Enable faster decision-making through distributed edge intelligence.
Automation & Device Lifecycle Management
  • Develop automation strategies for device provisioning, onboarding, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
  • Support firmware deployment and device management processes.
  • Improve operational efficiency through automation and modern engineering practices.
Security, Risk & Emerging Technologies
  • Ensure secure, resilient, and compliant IoT ecosystems.
  • Implement governance, security controls, and risk management practices.
  • Evaluate and leverage AI-enabled capabilities for analytics and operational improvement.
  • Promote best practices across architecture, development, and deployment processes.
Technical Leadership
  • Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Lead architecture reviews and technical decision-making.
  • Mentor engineers and promote modern engineering methodologies.
  • Drive innovation across connected systems and edge technologies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience designing and implementing IoT, edge computing, or connected systems solutions.
  • Experience architecting solutions across devices, edge platforms, networks, and cloud environments.
  • Strong programming experience with Python.
  • Experience building API-driven integrations and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with real-time telemetry, data collection, and data pipeline solutions.
  • Experience automating device provisioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms and modern architecture patterns.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting large-scale IoT deployments.
  • Experience with AI/ML solutions and intelligent automation.
  • Knowledge of streaming technologies and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Industry certifications in cloud, network, or IoT technologies.
  • Experience with software-defined networking and infrastructure automation.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise security, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
