Job Description:

Summary

Seeking an experienced Windchill PLM SME to assess the current PTC Windchill landscape and define the upgrade strategy and roadmap for Windchill 2027. Preference for candidates with a strong Medical Devices background; Life Sciences and Healthcare experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing Windchill configuration, customizations, workflows, data models, infrastructure, and integrations.
• Evaluate Windchill 2027 readiness, upgrade risks, technical debt, and business benefits.
• Conduct fit-gap analysis of PLM processes, including engineering change management, document control, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Assess data/CAD migration and integrations with ERP, MES, QMS, regulatory, and CAD systems.
• Define upgrade options, future-state architecture, governance, validation approach, and implementation roadmap.
• Evaluate end-user impact, timelines, costs, resource requirements, and potential ROI.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of hands-on PTC Windchill experience, including PDMLink, ProjectLink, MPMLink, PartsLink, and Change Management.
• Strong knowledge of Windchill 12.x/13.x, upgrades, migrations, and modernization.
• Technical expertise in Java/J2EE, REST APIs, workflows, OIRs, ACLs, customization frameworks, and integrations.
• Knowledge of Oracle/SQL Server, cloud/on-premises architectures, and PLM data models.
• Strong PLM functional knowledge, including product development, engineering change, design control, and data governance.
• Medical Devices domain experience with regulated product development, GxP, DHF, DMR, and risk management.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on Windchill 2027 evaluation environment setup and assessment.
• PTC Windchill certifications and experience working with PTC product teams.
• Experience in large-scale PLM transformation and executive-level business cases.
• Knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and ISO 13485.
