We are seeking a skilled and motivated
CMDB Developer to help advance and maintain our enterprise Configuration Management Database (CMDB). In this role, you will design and enhance CMDB capabilities within
ServiceNow , ensure high-quality configuration data, and support IT service management processes across the organization. Your work will directly enable accurate decision-making, efficient operations, and effective change control.
What You'll Contribute As a CMDB Developer, you will:
CMDB & ServiceNow Development - Architect, design, and maintain CMDB structures, CI classes, and relationships based on evolving business and IT requirements.
- Develop, optimize, and support ServiceNow Glide scripts and automation workflows to improve data quality and CMDB functionality.
- Build reports, dashboards, and automated processes that help teams visualize and utilize configuration data effectively.
Data Quality & Governance - Conduct recurring CMDB audits, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure alignment with configuration management policies and standards.
- Sustain high levels of data accuracy across CI classes by collaborating with discovery, change management, and owning teams.
Cross-Team Collaboration - Partner with IT service management (ITSM), operations, and engineering groups to ensure CMDB data supports incident, problem, change, and asset workflows.
- Provide guidance and support to internal CMDB users, including training and troubleshooting.
Documentation & Process Enablement - Create and maintain accurate CMDB documentation, including data models, data dictionaries, and process flows.
- Participate in the development, refinement, and adoption of ITIL-aligned configuration and change management processes.
Qualifications Required - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience working with the ServiceNow platform.
- Minimum of 3 years of CMDB or ServiceNow development experience within an IT service management environment.
- Strong understanding of ITIL , particularly configuration management and change management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with CMDB tools, CI data structures, and data management practices.
Preferred - Familiarity with cloud platforms, microservices architectures, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with discovery tools, integrations, or large-scale enterprise data models.
