This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading financial technology organization within their Infrastructure & Platform Services team as a Senior Cloud Engineer. In this role, you'll help design, implement, and maintain a large-scale, cloud-based environment while driving automation, scalability, and reliability across critical systems. Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
5+ years of experience as a Software Developer, DevOps Engineer, or Cloud Engineer
Proven experience architecting, configuring, and maintaining large-scale, highly available cloud environments
Expertise with AWS services including EC2, S3, EBS, and IAM
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using AWS, GitHub/Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Artifactory
Strong proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
Hands-on experience with container management systems such as Docker, Rancher, and Kubernetes
Experience building process automation using Gradle, Maven, and Ant
Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, and capacity planning best practices
Ability to lead and mentor team members while managing SLAs and compliance initiatives
Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
 
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience developing and maintaining automation libraries and deployment scripts
Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and performance tuning
Familiarity with Kafka or Vault for infrastructure and application management
Background in financial services or regulated technology environments
Experience managing end-of-life technology plans and technology roadmaps
Strong understanding of CI/CD and DevOps methodologies
Experience participating in on-call rotations and production support environments

Daily Responsibilities
Design, configure, implement, and manage automated workflows for provisioning and maintaining cloud infrastructure
Lead and participate in cloud environment build-outs, maintenance, and upgrades
Develop and maintain tested, deployable automation scripts and processes
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS, Jenkins, and GitHub
Manage DevOps activities across tools like Terraform, Vault, Docker, Kafka, and Kubernetes
Assess and plan capacity needs, ensuring performance and reliability of the cloud platform
Communicate project status and operational issues to senior management with recommendations for resolution
Support production change implementations during maintenance windows and participate in an on-call rotation
Maintain compliance with internal controls, security standards, and audit requirements
