Summary

Avanciers are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Server Engineer to support server build, validation, and debugging activities in a high-performance data center environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical/computer engineering, hands-on experience with server hardware, and the ability to analyze failures and drive resolutions efficiently.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review build dashboards to monitor throughput, yields, and failure trends.
  • Debug server platforms following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform minor hardware rework, retesting, and recovery of failed units.
  • Publish clear and concise daily build and status reports.
  • Analyze failures and provide triage steps and corrective actions.
  • Maintain high testing throughput, including during off-hours, by resolving blockers quickly.
  • Collaborate with test engineers, operators, and cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to assembly and testing processes.
  • Execute pre-test scripts and diagnostics on test fixtures.
  • Review system logs and perform initial troubleshooting based on documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Computer Engineering (CE).
  • 2–5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Familiarity with Linux command line and basic scripting.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture and networking components (servers, switches, power systems, etc.).
  • Experience in debugging, failure analysis, and log review.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong fundamentals in digital design, signal integrity, timing analysis, and fault analysis.
  • Experience with VLSI or board-level design.
  • Hands-on experience with high-performance servers or networking platforms.
  • Exposure to manufacturing test environments or hardware validation.
