Responsibilities:

Technical Operations Specialist TennCare’s ISL program is looking for a Technical Operations Specialist to drive operational excellence and protect the reliability of mission-critical Medicaid systems serving millions of Tennesseans. In this specialist role, you’ll guide real-time monitoring, lead incident response efforts, strengthen production reliability, and champion automation across a highly integrated healthcare technology landscape. You’ll collaborate across engineering, vendors, and business teams to keep systems healthy, data flowing, and deployments smooth—while mentoring others and elevating team capabilities.

What You’ll Lead: - Real-time system monitoring & proactive incident leadership - Production deployment governance & operational readiness - Troubleshooting of managed file transfers, batch jobs, and EDI transactions - Linux-based analysis, scripting, and automation initiatives - Cross-functional communication with stakeholders, vendors, and TennCare teams - SOP development, root-cause reviews, and continuous improvement What Sets You Apart: - Strong operations or production support background - Advanced troubleshooting and RCA skills - Experience with Splunk, ServiceNow, Linux, SQL, or MFT tools - Clear communicator able to bridge technical and business teams - Passion for mentoring others and driving operational maturity - Bonus: Healthcare, Medicaid, or EDI 270/271 experience
