Applications Developer - Oracle APEX & ORDS

Summary

Seeking an Applications Development Analyst (Advanced) with strong Oracle APEX and ORDS experience. The consultant will design, develop, and maintain custom Oracle applications and workflows. The role requires expertise in Oracle APEX architecture, SQL/PLSQL development, and adherence to security and compliance standards such as DISA STIGs and NIST.

This is an advanced professional role working on moderate to high complexity projects and may involve coaching junior technical staff.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle APEX / ORDS Development

Develop custom workflows using the APEX and ORDS platforms.

Design and maintain custom Oracle applications using Oracle APEX.

Develop scripts in SQL and PLSQL for data conversion and data migration.

Perform requirements analysis, development, design, testing, and deployment of custom Oracle applications.

Create dynamic reports within the Oracle APEX environment using APEX reporting tools, BI Publisher, or Oracle Reports.

Maintain assigned systems in accordance with DISA STIGs, NIST standards, and agency requirements.

Maintain documentation on all work products.

Document supporting policies, processes, and procedures within areas of responsibility.

Adhere to policies, processes, and procedures within areas of responsibility.

Required Profile

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar; OR equivalent work experience.

Minimum 3–5 years of programming/systems analysis experience with emphasis in:

• Applications and systems architectural design and development
• Database technologies
• Middleware technologies

Technical Skills

Strong experience with Oracle APEX development.

Experience with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).

Proficiency in SQL and PLSQL scripting.

Experience designing and maintaining custom Oracle applications.

Experience creating dynamic reports using APEX reporting tools, BI Publisher, or Oracle Reports.

Understanding of APEX framework and architecture for strategic platform planning.

Knowledge of compliance standards including DISA STIGs and NIST.
