R&D Engineering TechnicianLocation: Maple Grove, MN
Pay: $31.00 per hour
Schedule: Full Onsite
We are seeking a hands-on R&D Engineering Technician to support product development through test method development, mechanical testing, and design verification activities. This contract opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in laboratory testing, engineering support, and data analysis within a regulated manufacturing or medical device environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and refine mechanical test methods for product evaluation and verification
- Perform design verification testing and analyze test results
- Set up, operate, and maintain testing equipment and pilot production systems
- Collect, measure, and document process and performance data
- Analyze test results and provide feedback to engineering teams
- Support process development, equipment validation, and scale-up activities
- Troubleshoot testing equipment and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reliability
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with quality system requirements
Qualifications
- Associate Degree or equivalent related experience
- Minimum of 1 year of engineering, laboratory, testing, or manufacturing experience
- Experience with test method development and mechanical testing
- Hands-on experience using Instron testing equipment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data collection skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with engineers and cross-functional teams
- Experience with design verification testing preferred
