Position Summary

The Capacity Planning Engineer supports factory production, bottleneck resolution, NTI investment planning, project management and tool cost savings initiatives. This position owns the forecasting, modeling, and coordination of fab and supply-chain capacity to meet customer demands, investment planning and strategic targets.

Here's What You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Perform regular analysis on factory bottlenecks for long term and short-term basis.
  • Find actions to close capacity gaps and drive those actions to completion.
  • Regularly perform line analysis and supply chain forecasting and be able to pinpoint bottleneck areas and take actions to help improve line movement and line balance.
  • Regularly perform bottleneck investigations utilizing existing productions plans, tool performance metrics, and existing capacity projects and create summaries of problem areas.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and engineering groups to make output improvements using available scheduling systems as well as analyze data to show the benefit of any action taken.
  • Work with engineering teams to improve daily operations and optimize tool performance.
  • Perform equipment efficiency analysis and take action to make improvements.

Here's what you'll need:


  • B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and other related Engineering or Applied Mathematics Major will be considered.
  • 3+ years' experience in Capacity Planning, Data Analytics, Project Management, Production Strategy or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Proficient in Factory Physics methodologies & supply chain management Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data modeling and forecasting techniques.
  • Knowledgeable in SQL, Python or other scripting languages for data analytics and automation preferred.

The current base salary range for this role is between $94,260 - $179,090. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
