CTG is seeking to fill a Data Analyst - SQL/PL/SQL & ETL position for our client.
Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: 6 months
Duties:- Analyze complex data requirements and develop SQL and PL/SQL queries to support business and technical needs.
- Work with data across OLTP, Data Warehouse, and Big Data database environments.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize complex SQL queries and medium to complex stored procedures.
- Analyze and validate data to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity.
- Support data movement and processing activities, including ETL, API, OLAP, and data tracking.
- Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and other analysts to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions.
- Investigate data issues, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Apply data management and processing best practices to improve data quality and reliability.
- Support data integration initiatives involving multiple systems and technologies.
- Document data requirements, processes, findings, and technical solutions.
- Participate in team discussions, project planning, testing, and implementation activities.
Skills:- 4+ years of SQL and PL/SQL experience working with OLTP, Data Warehouse, and Big Data databases.
- Strong SQL development skills with extensive experience writing complex queries.
- Strong understanding of data movement and processing, including ETL, API, OLAP, and data tracking best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Denodo experience is a plus.
- Big Data experience with technologies such as Hadoop, MongoDB, and Exadata is a plus.
Nice to Have Skills:- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of API Gateways, microservices architecture, and security standards including OAuth2, SSL, and certificates.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Dynatrace and Grafana.
Experience:- 4+ years of experience working in a Data Analyst role.
- 4+ years of hands-on SQL and PL/SQL experience.
- 2+ years of experience writing medium to complex stored procedures is preferred.
- Experience working with complex data environments, data integration, and ETL processes.
- Experience analyzing data across relational, data warehouse, and/or Big Data platforms.
Education:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
