Job#: 3023819 Job Description: Apex Systems is seeking Structural Analysis Engineers to work onsite in Berkeley, MO.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret clearance as a condition and continuation of employment
Responsibilities:- Develop, integrate and document structural requirements to establish the system design
- Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment
- Guide product design and verify structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance
- Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution and analyze/report test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
- Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied
- Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements
- Works under general direction
Qualifications:- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
- 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- Experience performing hand calculations, using industry CAD system (preference: NX/Teamcenter), and FEM software (preference: PATRAN/NASTRAN).
