Freelance Sr. Video Editor

Join our client''s dynamic team as a freelance video editor, where you''ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of engaging marketing, corporate, and educational video projects. This flexible role allows you to showcase your editing skills and deliver high-quality content under tight deadlines. These projects are primarily remote, but candidates must be in the Chicago area for file and footage handoffs as needed. 

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with producers to transform raw footage into compelling video content.
• Ensure all edits meet brand and editorial standards, delivering polished results.
• Efficiently apply templates across series-based projects and manage multiple deadlines.
• Deliver initial cuts and revisions promptly, integrating feedback within a structured review process.

Skills

• Over five years of professional video editing experience with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant interviews, educational content, multi-cam editing, and corporate samples.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere Pro.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage freelance scheduling independently.
• Reliable availability for projects with clear deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with After Effects and multi-camera editing.
• Comfortable working with multiple reviewers and efficiently incorporating feedback.
