WHO WE''RE LOOKING FOR

The Marketing Automation Strategist serves as a core link between strategy and execution within the Experience and Technology Solutions team. This role is responsible for managing mid-to-large-scale marketing automation workstreams, transforming client business objectives into actionable data-driven communication plans. This position assists in campaign architecture while leading the development of complex, long-term customer journeys.

WHAT OUR MARKETING AUTOMATION STRATEGIST WILL DO ONCE THEY''RE HERE

  • Manage the end-to-end execution of customer relationship marketing (CRM) strategies, including planning, setup, deployment, and optimization.
  • Support the formulation of email marketing strategies and segmentation frameworks that drive personalization and customer engagement.
  • Oversee customer data hygiene and segmentation strategies to ensure proper targeting and compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Act as a primary user for marketing automation platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo, or Pardot), ensuring integration with other martech tools.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of CRM, automation, and CX platforms to support integration and optimization efforts.
  • Develop advanced KPIs and regular performance reports to identify optimization opportunities and track program effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the development of scalable processes, QA protocols, and best practice documentation for lead generation and database management.
  • Work closely with account and project management teams to help define the scope and recommended technical approaches for digital projects.
  • Lead thorough QA testing, including content accuracy, link functionality, and rendering, while also mentoring junior team members on these standards.

Additional Skills:

  • Expertise to interpret campaign data and audience insights to form strategic approaches.
  • Ability to see the big picture of how digital marketing fits into broader account work and business growth.
  • Strong knowledge of CRM and marketing automation systems, including integration points with other platforms.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with experience in tools like Microsoft Excel, Tableau, or Google Analytics.
  • Effective communication skills for both internal collaboration and client-facing presentation, including the ability to simplify and teach complex digital concepts. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage budgets and schedules effectively.
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email formatting is preferred.


WHAT OUR MARKETING AUTOMATION STRATEGIST WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. 
  • 4+ years of full-time experience in digital marketing, advertising, or public relations.
  • Minimum of 2 years''  experience managing and executing multi-channel digital marketing or automation campaigns
  • Progress toward or completion of relevant platform certifications, preferably Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
