Lead Oracle Fusion Costing Consultant – Contract Manufacturing & Cost Accounting

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Oracle Fusion Costing Consultant with deep expertise in Cost Accounting, Oracle Fusion Cost Management, and Contract/Outsourced Manufacturing.
The ideal candidate will have a strong corporate finance and cost accounting background combined with hands-on Oracle ERP consulting experience. This role will lead process consulting and solution design initiatives focused on costing, inventory valuation, subledger accounting, and financial controls across complex global supply chains.
The consultant will serve as a functional bridge between Finance, Cost Accounting, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operations teams, ensuring accurate alignment between physical product movements and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Process Consulting & Solution Architecture
Lead business process re-engineering, fit-gap analysis, and process optimization for cost accounting and manufacturing workflows.
Design end-to-end costing strategies in Oracle Fusion Cloud Cost Management for Contract Manufacturing, Toll Manufacturing, CMOs, Turnkey Manufacturing, and 3PL/4PL environments.
Advise Finance, Cost Accounting, and Supply Chain leadership on:
Standard vs. actual costing
Cost element structures
Material and resource overhead absorption
Cost and manufacturing variances
Inventory valuation
Intercompany costing and markup structures
Conduct executive-level workshops and translate business requirements into scalable Oracle Cloud solutions.
Define AS-IS and TO-BE processes and recommend best-practice solutions.
Oracle Fusion Cloud Configuration & Design
Lead functional design and configuration of:
Oracle Fusion Cost Management
Subledger Accounting (SLA)
Inventory Management
Manufacturing
General Ledger integration
Design and configure Cost Organizations, Cost Books, Cost Elements, Valuation Structures, and Overhead Rules.
Configure costing and accounting processes for outsourced and contract manufacturing scenarios, including:
Component issuance to contract manufacturers
Supplier-provided components
Consigned inventory
Contract manufacturing service fees
Tolling fees
Return-to-Vendor (RTV) adjustments
Design multi-currency costing, transfer pricing, and intercompany accounting processes for global supply chains.
Integration, Reporting & Reconciliation
Define functional requirements for integrations between Oracle Cloud Costing and:
Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Third-Party Logistics (3PL) providers
Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs)
External manufacturing portals
Develop reporting requirements and strategies using OTBI, BI Publisher, and Financial Reporting Web Studio.
Support reporting for:
Lead or oversee data conversion activities involving item costs, WIP balances, inventory valuation, and historical cost information.
Ensure successful reconciliation between Oracle Fusion and legacy financial systems during implementation and cutover.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of hands-on Cost Accounting / Corporate Finance experience, either prior to or alongside Oracle consulting experience.
8+ years of total Oracle ERP experience.
3+ years of hands-on experience leading Oracle Fusion Cloud Cost Management implementations.
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Cost Management, Cost Accounting, Inventory, Manufacturing, Subledger Accounting (SLA), and General Ledger integration.
Direct experience with Contract Manufacturing / Outsourced Manufacturing processes.
Experience working with CMOs, Toll Manufacturing, supplier-provided components, consigned inventory, assembly/service fees, and outsourced production models.
Experience within Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Medical Devices, or related Supply Chain environments.
Strong understanding of inventory valuation, standard and actual costing, overhead absorption, variance analysis, WIP, COGS, and intercompany costing.
Experience with Oracle Cloud costing integrations and external manufacturing or logistics systems.
Strong experience with financial reconciliation, data conversion, and implementation cutover activities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with CFOs, Controllers, Finance leaders, Plant Accountants, Supply Chain leaders, and technical teams.
Strong consulting skills, including executive workshops, requirements gathering, process mapping, fit-gap analysis, and solution design.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading large-scale/global Oracle Fusion Cloud implementations.
Experience designing financial controls for complex outsourced manufacturing networks.
Knowledge of transfer pricing and intercompany margin elimination.
Experience with OTBI, BI Publisher, and Financial Reporting Web Studio.
Strong understanding of integrations between Oracle Cloud, MES, 3PL, CMO, and other external systems.
Oracle Fusion Cloud Cost Management certification is a plus.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a Cost Accounting subject-matter expert who also has strong Oracle Fusion Cloud Cost Management consulting experience. Candidates should be comfortable working directly with senior Finance and Supply Chain stakeholders while also leading functional solution design and Oracle Cloud configuration.
Important: This is a 6-month Contract-to-Hire opportunity. Candidates must be open to transitioning to a full-time position after the initial contract period.
