Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer – Technical Operations Lead

Location- Remote

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer – Technical Operations Lead to oversee and manage IT infrastructure operations, ensure system reliability, and lead technical support teams. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, manage incidents, and implement scalable solutions to support business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day IT operations, ensuring high availability and performance of systems and infrastructure.

• Manage and mentor a team of system engineers and support staff.

• Oversee monitoring, incident management, and problem resolution processes.

• Design, implement, and maintain on-premises and cloud infrastructure.

• Ensure system security, compliance, and patch management.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for deployments, upgrades, and maintenance activities.

• Develop and maintain operational runbooks, SOPs, and documentation.

• Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.

• Manage disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning.

• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

• 6+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure operations, or technical support.

• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux systems administration.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).

• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, etc.).

• Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN).

• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).

• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).

• Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as AWS/Azure, ITIL, or VMware.

• Experience with DevOps tools and automation (Ansible, Terraform).

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience with enterprise backup and recovery solutions.

• Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards.
