Role Overview
We are seeking a Front Line Test Engineer to join our Client's Team. In this role, you will be the first line of defense for production quality for the electric propulsion production testing of all propulsion subsystems. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, unblocking, and optimizing automated test equipment and resolving test nonconformances to ensure minimal downtime and 100% test coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide immediate engineering support for nonconformances and "line-down" situations related to propulsion component and subsystem acceptance tests.
- Diagnose direct and root causes of test failures, distinguishing between product defects and test system failures.
- Monitor First Pass Yield (FPY) data and implement continuous improvement projects to reduce cycle time.
- Assist in the validation and "bring-up" of new test stations during New Product Introduction (NPI) phases.
- Maintain clear records of station downtime, Engineering Change Order (ECO) implementations, and operator instructions.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or a related technical field is required.
Experience:- 1+ year of experience developing or maturing test and data acquisition software with Python, NI LabVIEW, or NI TestStand.
- 1+ year of experience with pressurized fluid, vacuum, or plasma-based system operations.
- 1+ year of experience investigating hardware failures or performing root cause analysis.
- 1+ year of experience with electrical test equipment and data acquisition systems such as Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, and Spectrum Analyzers.
Additional Requirements:- Ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical production operators and present data-driven reports to management.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; ability to stand for long periods and handle physical hardware.
Work Schedule
This position requires availability for one of two shifts: a day shift from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, or a night shift from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, Monday to Friday.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $78.00 and $88.00 per hour. Compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and location. We offer a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees.
