Summary

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network Security Administrator to provide specialized network and cybersecurity administration support for state agencies. This role focuses on firewall administration, security requests, troubleshooting, infrastructure modernization, and maintaining secure and compliant network environments.

Key Responsibilities

Review and execute Firewall Service Requests (FSRs), break/fix tickets, and formal change requests.
Configure, troubleshoot, and administer Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewalls.
Manage firewall security policies, zones, NAT, VPNs, and security configurations.
Support site-to-site VPN implementations and troubleshooting.
Perform network security troubleshooting and incident response.
Support EOL hardware decommissioning and infrastructure refresh activities.
Implement and maintain security controls aligned with applicable IRS, FBI, and CJI/CJIS requirements.
Document configurations, changes, incidents, and operational procedures.
Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and emergency after-hours support.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor''s degree required.
Hands-on experience administering Palo Alto firewalls.
Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA firewalls.
Strong understanding of:
- Security Zones
- Security Policies
- NAT
- Site-to-Site VPN / IPsec
- Firewall Rules
- Basic Threat Prevention
Strong networking fundamentals including routing, subnetting, TCP/IP, and OSI model.
Experience with government or regulated security environments preferred.
Familiarity with IRS, FBI, and CJI/CJIS security requirements preferred.

Schedule & Requirements

40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Participation in a weekly on-call rotation.
Availability for scheduled after-hours maintenance and emergency incidents.
Candidates must be local to Colorado.
Must be able to pass criminal and financial background checks and a drug test.
