Description:
Our client is a leading innovator in the aerospace industry, dedicated to developing cutting-edge perpetual flight systems. They are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with a DevOps background to join their Systems Engineering organization. This role is crucial in providing the engineering team with the necessary tools and infrastructure to support the entire lifecycle of their advanced engineering projects.

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Pay: $60 - $65

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities:
  • Design and support an integrated engineering management toolchain for tasks ranging from system-level to code-level, covering the entire project lifecycle.
  • Create, configure, and maintain collaboration spaces and processes for various specialties using JIRA and Confluence.
  • Design and implement dynamic linkages between MS Project and JIRA to provide real-time Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) visibility and status.
  • Support and manage a SharePoint site within the data infrastructure.
  • Facilitate software development and continuous integration processes.
  • Manage and enhance the toolchain as tasking and reporting requirements evolve.
  • Set up and manage libraries, document sets, and workflows across JIRA, JIRA Service Desk, Confluence, PLM Siemens (Polarion), and Microsoft (SharePoint) products.
  • Develop and maintain company databases to support engineering and operational needs.


Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar roles within the automotive, aerospace, or fast-paced development sectors.
  • Expert fluency in JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience as an administrator for Siemens Polarion PLM.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, SQL, Java, VBA, and Python.
  • At least 2 years of experience in software continuous integration (CI/CD).
  • Strong understanding of process-oriented concepts and data organization.
  • Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • A strong focus on achieving success and delivering results.

Nice to Have Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with CI tools such as GitLab CI or Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of software configuration management processes.
  • Experience with MS Access, Ansys, Apache Velocity, 3DX, and TeamCenter.


Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Software Development, or a related field is required.
  • Ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
