Essential Functions

About the Role - Under general supervision, the Sr. Strategy Planning Analyst supports enterprise and organizational strategy by delivering data-driven analysis, workforce and financial insights, and executive decision support. This role partners closely with HR, Finance, and Data & Technology (D&T) teams to ensure strategic priorities are translated into actionable plans, aligned to enterprise targets, and supported with accurate, timely analytics.
  • Support the development and execution of workforce, business, and operational strategies through advanced analysis, structured problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and D&T stakeholders to support headcount governance, workforce planning, and prioritization aligned to approved financial and enterprise targets.
  • Conduct financial and scenario analysis to assess impacts, tradeoffs, and risks related to staffing, capacity, timing, and funding.
  • Reconcile and validate data across multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency through strong Excel modeling, data queries, and analytical controls.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and executive-ready materials for leadership reviews, governance forums, and decision meetings.
  • Conduct environmental scans, trend analysis, and internal or external research to inform strategic recommendations.
  • Coordinate inputs across business units, regions, and functions to integrate plans, assumptions, and priorities.
  • Track progress against strategic objectives, identify risks or gaps, and recommend course corrections as priorities evolve.
  • Support the development of repeatable planning, analytics, and reporting processes that improve transparency and decision readiness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong experience with Power BI for reporting, dashboards, and executive visualization.
  • Solid data and financial analysis skills, including scenario modeling and impact assessment.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (e.g., pivot tables, complex formulas, modeling, structured datasets).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Effective communication skills, with experience supporting senior leaders and executive audiences.
  • Ability to influence across functions and operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or business administration or equivalent.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years work experience in information technology or business environment including project management, quantitative analysis, forecasting, process improvement, or market/competitive analysis.

Domicile Information

This is a hybrid position located in Memphis, TN. Candidates must live within 50 miles of the campus location. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx campus location several times per week.
