SAP Project Manager - Medical Devices / Life Sciences

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead and deliver SAP S/4HANA and enterprise application initiatives in a regulated life sciences environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SAP program delivery, medical or pharmaceutical compliance, and cross-functional stakeholder management, ensuring successful execution of ERP projects that support manufacturing, supply chain, and finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations and modernization initiatives using SAP Activate methodology.

• Manage large-scale ERP programs across Procure-to-Pay (PTP), Order-to-Cash (OTC), Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Finance.

• Drive project governance, scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality management for SAP and related enterprise systems.

• Partner with business process owners to gather requirements, conduct workshops, and translate business needs into functional and technical designs.

• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, cGMP, GAMP, and 21 CFR Part 11 across SAP and integrated systems.

• Lead vendor and system integrator relationships, including SOW, RFP, and delivery oversight.

• Manage IT budgets, forecasting, CapEx/OpEx, and resource planning for ERP initiatives.

• Facilitate steering committee meetings with executive leadership and provide clear status reporting and decision support.

• Support audit readiness and represent IT during SOX, IT FDA, and BLA audits.

• Champion Agile and hybrid delivery models, driving continuous improvement and organizational change management.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of IT project/program management experience with strong SAP ERP focus.

• Proven experience delivering SAP S/4HANA implementations in life sciences, medical devices, or pharmaceutical environments.

• Strong understanding of regulated manufacturing systems including ERP, MES, LIMS, and enterprise integrations.

• Hands-on experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid SDLC methodologies.

• Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management, vendor management, and executive communication.

• Experience managing multi-million-dollar IT budgets and complex global programs.

Preferred Certifications

• SAP Project Manager Certification

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

• SAFe Agilist

• AWS Cloud Practitioner or equivalent cloud certification

• PMP or equivalent (preferred)

Technical Skills

• SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC

• ERP systems (Oracle EBS experience a plus)
