Senior SAP APO / SAP IBP Consultant

Inspiration Global is seeking a Senior SAP APO / SAP IBP Consultant to support enterprise-scale Supply Chain Planning and Manufacturing initiatives.

This role is for hands-on consultants only not managers who have deep experience configuring, implementing, and supporting SAP APO and/or SAP IBP solutions in complex global environments.

The successful candidate will work as part of a high-performance Supply Chain Planning & Manufacturing IT team, partnering closely with supply chain, manufacturing, analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver robust planning solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Analytics teams to understand planning processes and business requirements.

• Lead the planning, design, configuration, testing, training, and deployment of:

  • SAP APO (DP, SNP, PP/DS)

  • SAP IBP (Demand, Supply, Inventory, S&OP, Control Tower)

• Configure and maintain APO/IBP master data, including:

  • BOMs, resources, PDS/PPM

  • Location-product structures

  • Classifications and batch-related data

• Provide production support for global planning and manufacturing operations.

• Develop and support interfaces and integrations between APO/IBP and ECC or S/4 using CIF, OData, and middleware tools.

• Troubleshoot cross-module integration issues (MM, PP, SD, FI/CO).

• Create Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and collaborate with ABAP, Basis, Security, and Operations teams.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across global manufacturing sites.

• Apply SAP OSS Notes and SAP best practices to ensure system stability and performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on SAP APO or SAP IBP configuration experience.

• Minimum 2 full lifecycle implementations of SAP APO and/or SAP IBP.

• Strong expertise in:

  • Statistical forecasting

  • SNP heuristics and optimization

  • Supply planning and inventory optimization

  • PP/DS detailed scheduling

• Experience designing and building planning processes for enterprise implementations.

• Strong understanding of:

  • Manufacturing and supply chain operations

  • BOMs, resources, PDS/PPM, location-product, batch structures

• Experience supporting global production planning operations.

• Proven ability to independently configure, troubleshoot, and support APO/IBP solutions.

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating APO/IBP with ECC or S/4HANA.

• Ability to work cross-functionally with MM, PP, SD, FI/CO, QM teams.

• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

• Experience supporting ERP upgrades, enhancements, and system maintenance.
