This senior-level contingent role provides expert-level data governance and data management consulting within Wells Fargo's Finance Data Management organization. The position drives oversight, governance, and management of critical data supporting enterprise business needs, initiatives, and long-term strategy. The analyst serves as a subject matter expert in data source governance-including metadata, lineage, and data quality-and leads complex analyses to identify and remediate data integrity, process, and control gaps. The role supports risk oversight and policy compliance for finance data, with a focus on general ledger and regulatory reporting systems, and contributes to enterprise-wide data governance initiatives aligned to Data Management Policy.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Consult as an expert on highly complex business and technical data management needs
Provide strategic guidance and solutions for unique, large-scale data challenges
Perform advanced metadata analysis and maintain data source governance artifacts
Execute, monitor, and enhance data management controls across finance data ecosystems
Lead complex analyses to identify data quality, integrity, process, and control issues
Drive remediation efforts and partner with technology, data product, and business teams
Advise senior leadership on innovative data management solutions and long-term strategy
Collaborate across the enterprise to support data governance initiatives and policy alignment
Engage strategically with Wells Fargo personnel to influence data standards, policies, and practices
