Mobile Technology Lead (Ionic, Angular, Swift - Hybrid & iOS)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Technology Lead to architect, design, and deliver enterprise-grade mobile applications using a combination of hybrid (Ionic + Capacitor) and native iOS (Swift) technologies.

This role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on development expertise, and the ability to drive scalable, secure, and high-performance mobile solutions across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Lead end-to-end mobile application architecture across hybrid and native stacks
• Define coding standards, best practices, and development guidelines
• Drive decisions around performance, scalability, security, and maintainability

Development & Delivery

• Develop and review mobile applications using:
  • Ionic + Capacitor (hybrid apps)
  • Angular (UI layer)
  • Swift (native iOS components)
• Build and maintain custom Capacitor plugins for device features:
  • Camera
  • Biometrics
  • Push notifications
  • Storage
• Integrate mobile apps with:
  • Backend APIs
  • Third-party SDKs

Architecture & Integration

• Design scalable API-driven mobile architectures
• Ensure seamless integration with backend and cloud services
• Maintain compliance with App Store guidelines and mobile standards

Quality, Performance & Security

• Implement:
  • Automated testing
  • CI/CD pipelines
• Optimize app performance and responsiveness
• Ensure adherence to:
  • OWASP Mobile Security standards
  • Secure storage, encryption, authentication (OAuth2, OpenID, biometrics)

Team Collaboration & Leadership

• Mentor and guide mobile developers across hybrid and native stacks
• Collaborate with:
  • Product Owners
  • UX/UI teams
  • Backend & DevOps teams
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint planning, backlog grooming, releases)

Production Support

• Monitor application performance and resolve production issues
• Manage app lifecycle including releases and updates

Required Skills

Core Technical Skills

• Strong experience in:
  • Ionic Framework (MANDATORY)
  • Capacitor (plugin development & native integration)
  • Angular (AngularJS / Angular 2+)
  • Swift (iOS development)

Additional Technical Skills

• Experience with:
  • REST APIs and backend integration
  • CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Azure DevOps)
  • Mobile performance optimization
  • App Store / Play Store release process

Security Skills

• Knowledge of:
  • OWASP Mobile Top 10
  • OAuth2 / OpenID Connect
  • Secure authentication & encryption

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Android development (Kotlin/Java)
• Domain experience in:
  • Banking / Financial Services / Payments
• Experience with enterprise mobile applications

Experience Required

• 10+ years of experience in mobile application development
• Proven experience in technical leadership / architecture roles
