Role: Senior Power BI Developer

Location: Onsite St. Louis, MO
Role Overview
The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience designing and developing enterprise-level Power BI dashboards and reports, backed by large-scale datasets hosted on Google BigQuery. This role requires strong data modeling, SQL optimization, and close collaboration with business and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality analytics and reporting solutions.
Required Skills
12+ years of overall experience in BI, Analytics, or Data Engineering roles
Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI, including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query
Extensive experience working with Google BigQuery, including querying large datasets and performance optimization
Strong experience writing and tuning complex SQL queries
Experience with data modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and semantic layer design
Ability to translate business requirements into interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations
Strong understanding of data validation, data quality, and reconciliation techniques
Experience working across the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and support
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with business users, analysts, and IT teams
Ability to work independently while collaborating in an onsite, team-oriented environment
Preferred Skills
Experience integrating Power BI with Google Cloud Platform services beyond BigQuery
Knowledge of ETL / ELT pipelines and data transformation best practices
Experience with cloud-based data warehouses and large-scale analytics platforms
Prior experience leading or mentoring junior BI developers
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
