About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Architect with deep expertise in data engineering and cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing, implementing, and optimizing Snowflake solutions within BFSI and Insurance domains. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical leadership and the ability to drive end-to-end data architecture strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable Snowflake-based data architectures for enterprise-level solutions.
Lead data migration projects from legacy databases to Snowflake on AWS or Azure.
Develop and optimize data ingestion pipelines, data lakes, data warehouses, and reporting frameworks.
Implement data transformation rules, reconciliation processes, and ensure data integrity across systems.
Utilize Snowflake utilities such as SnowSQL, Snowpark, SnowPipe, Tasks, Streams, Stored Procedures, and advanced features like Time Travel, Resource Monitor, Zero-Copy Cloning, Data Masking, and Data Sharing.
Apply query performance tuning and cost optimization techniques to maximize efficiency.
Manage Snowflake account setup and administration on cloud platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data flow diagrams, integration strategies, and orchestration workflows.
Required Skills & Experience:
10+ years of IT experience, with strong exposure to BFSI and Insurance sectors.
Extensive experience in data engineering, including ingestion, data lakes, data warehouses, reporting, and analytics.
Strong knowledge of Big Data pipelines, data replication, integration, and orchestration tools.
Hands-on experience in migrating databases to Snowflake using AWS or Azure.
Deep expertise in Snowflake utilities and advanced features.
Proficiency in query optimization and cost management within Snowflake.
Solid understanding of cloud platform administration and Snowflake account setup.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
Familiarity with ETL tools and modern data integration frameworks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
