Your opportunity

As a Data Engineer, you will build and maintain reliable data pipelines and solutions on the Janus Henderson Data Platform. You will work closely with team members and stakeholders to ensure data quality and support critical business processes.

  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, Databricks, and supporting technologies.
  • Collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders to deliver integrated data solutions.
  • Optimise queries and storage for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Apply CI/CD and observability practices to improve reliability and performance.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with governance standards.
  • Support production systems, troubleshoot incidents, and assist with root cause analysis.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Must have skills

  • Hands-on experience in data engineering and pipeline development using Snowflake and/or Databricks.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and optimisation on cloud-based platforms.
  • Strong Python skills for data processing and automation.
  • Basic understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD practices.
  • Familiarity with job orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Autosys).
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have skills

  • Certifications in Snowflake or Databricks.
  • Experience with dbt Core/Cloud for transformation and testing.
  • Awareness of Data Mesh principles.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Key Vault, Azure DevOps).
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and lineage tools.

Compensation information

The base salary range for this position is $90,000-$115,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This position will be open through the end of March 2026.
