Job Overview

Lead Business Systems Analyst

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Business Systems Analyst (Lead BSA) to partner with business stakeholders, product teams, and technology organizations to deliver innovative digital solutions.

The Lead BSA will be responsible for understanding business needs, leading requirements gathering activities, defining solution requirements, and ensuring successful delivery of products that improve operational efficiency and business outcomes. This role serves as a strategic liaison between business and technical teams, driving solution design, prioritization, and adoption across multiple initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders, product owners, and delivery teams.
• Build strong relationships with business leaders to understand strategic goals, challenges, and opportunities.
• Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder interviews to elicit business requirements.
• Drive consensus among cross-functional stakeholders and ensure alignment on priorities.

Requirements Management

• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into user stories, process flows, use cases, and detailed functional specifications.
• Define acceptance criteria and support testing activities.
• Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring traceability and alignment with business objectives.

Product & Solution Delivery

• Partner with Product Managers and engineering teams to support solution delivery.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value and strategic objectives.
• Ensure solutions meet stakeholder expectations, business requirements, and quality standards.

Process Improvement & Business Analysis

• Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for optimization and automation.
• Conduct impact assessments and recommend scalable solutions.
• Support change management and user adoption activities.
• Develop business cases and value realization metrics for key initiatives.

Governance & Communication

• Strong project coordination and delivery management experience across cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives, priorities, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations simultaneously.
• Experience supporting Agile, Scrum, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• Ensure adherence to organizational standards and delivery methodologies.
• Maintain project documentation, requirement repositories, and process artifacts.
• Prepare and deliver executive-level status updates and presentations.

Digital & Data Solutions

• Work with technology teams to define requirements for digital platforms, reporting solutions, automation initiatives, and data-driven capabilities.
• Support initiatives involving analytics, forecasting, knowledge management, and workflow automation.
• Collaborate with technical teams to evaluate solution feasibility and implementation approaches.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years of Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst experience.
• 3+ years leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong experience in requirements elicitation, process mapping, and solution definition.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work with business leaders and technical teams.
• Strong hands-on experience with Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, user story creation, and Agile delivery tracking.
• Proficient in Confluence for requirements documentation, knowledge management, process documentation, and collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Commercial Operations, Sales, Marketing, or Business Operations functions.
• Exposure to digital transformation initiatives and enterprise applications.
• Experience working with analytics, forecasting, reporting, or data-driven solutions.
• Understanding of Generative AI, Machine Learning, or intelligent automation initiatives.
• Experience in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, or Healthcare industries.

Estimated Pay Range:
