RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a Fortune 100 organization in Houston, TX, is seeking a senior Active Directory Engineer to support a large-scale identity modernization and Active Directory transformation initiative. This role is focused on architecture, design, and migration strategy within complex enterprise environments, not day-to-day operational support. The ideal candidate has experience designing and implementing Active Directory solutions for large-scale, multi-forest environments and can provide technical leadership on identity modernization, AD migrations, trust relationships, authentication services, and M&A integrations.
Responsibilities:
* Architect and design Active Directory solutions for enterprise modernization initiatives
* Lead AD migration, forest consolidation, and identity integration efforts
* Design and implement trusts, authentication solutions, and hybrid identity architectures
* Support mergers, acquisitions, and enterprise-wide identity consolidation projects
* Partner with infrastructure, security, and application teams to modernize legacy environments
* Provide best practices and strategic guidance around AD architecture and governance
REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of Active Directory engineering and architecture experience
* Expertise in AD design, authentication, LDAP, Kerberos, trusts, and SIDHistory
* Experience with multi-forest environments, Entra ID (Azure AD), and hybrid identity
* Hands-on experience leading enterprise AD migrations and modernization initiatives
* Strong understanding of application authentication and identity integration patterns
* Experience in Fortune 500 or large enterprise environments (10,000+ users) preferred
* PowerShell, Quest migration tools, SailPoint, and PKI experience are a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
