Role: Data Governance Analyst

Supporting: Large Financial Services Client

Location: Remote (U.S.A)

Assignment Type: Contract

Duration: ~5 Months

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support the Member Strategy Office. This role focuses on the execution of Enterprise Data Governance Services plans for secure and permanent data deletion. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, data analysis, and project management skills to ensure compliance with data retention and deletion policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the execution of Enterprise Data Governance Services plans for secure and permanent data deletion.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, implement, and align data deletion controls and processes with established frameworks.
  • Guide technical product owners and teams through data deletion intake and requirements, ensuring compliance with retention and deletion policies.
  • Establish and maintain data deletion controls to reduce risks and address emerging organizational needs.
  • Provide oversight, training, and participate in compliance reviews for stakeholders involved in approving and auditing data deletion.
  • Design metrics, foster alignment across governance and risk functions, and effectively communicate standards and procedures to business stakeholders.


Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in data governance, data risk management, data lifecycle management, or related fields.

Strong understanding of data retention and deletion policies, regulatory requirements, and governance frameworks.

Experience implementing or supporting data deletion processes, data controls, or compliance-driven data projects.

Ability to collaborate with technical product teams and translate governance requirements into actionable steps.

Proven analytical skills for assessing data risks, documenting controls, and designing metrics or reporting.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to guide stakeholders, conduct training, and communicate standards clearly.

Project management experience, including managing intake processes, timelines, and cross-functional coordination.

Familiarity with governance and risk functions, compliance reviews, and audit support is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

The pay rate for this position is between $50 and $60 per hour. Please note that the final rate may be contingent on experience and other factors.
