Job Description

The Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for developing solutions to strengthen the security of systems and projects. This role involves creating new methods to resolve production security issues and requires advanced knowledge of intrusion detection and prevention protocols.

Key responsibilities include addressing technical problems with applications and production equipment, responding to incidents, and applying forensic investigation skills. The engineer will assess workflows to anticipate potential issues and collaborate with other professionals to deploy strategies for containing and mitigating production problems.

The role also includes maintaining logs, performing regular security checks, developing automation scripts, configuring firewalls and intrusion detection systems, responding to network intrusions, testing hardware and software, and creating test plans to evaluate security issues.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and implement solutions to strengthen system security
Address technical problems with applications and production equipment
Perform incident response and forensic investigations
Assess workflows to identify and prevent future issues
Collaborate with engineers to deploy containment and mitigation strategies
Maintain logs and perform security checks for vulnerabilities
Develop automation scripts for incident handling and tracking
Configure and manage firewalls and intrusion detection systems
Respond to intrusions and conduct forensic analysis
Test and evaluate new or upgraded hardware and software
Create test plans to evaluate potential security risks
Implement multi-layered defense strategies to protect networks

Required Skills

Proficiency in Splunk Enterprise Security, Crowdstrike Falcon, and Wiz
Proficiency in Python and Cloud Security
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Advanced understanding of intrusion detection, prevention, and forensics
