Description
We're seeking a senior IT operations leader to oversee enterprise service management, operational stability, and business continuity across a complex 24/7 environment. This role partners closely with technology leadership and business stakeholders to ensure high availability, resilience, and continuous improvement of critical IT services.
What You'll Do
IT Operations & Service Management
Serve as a senior operational leader for enterprise IT operations.
Own and govern core ITIL practices including Asset Management, Change, Major Incident, Problem, Service Continuity, and Disaster Recovery.
Drive operational excellence through process improvement, performance optimization, and risk reduction.
Act as a key escalation point for major operational issues impacting the organization.
Stakeholder & Business Continuity Leadership
Partner with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to ensure reliable day-to-day operations.
Collaborate with ITSM and infrastructure teams to support business continuity and disaster recovery readiness.
Provide clear communication, reporting, and executive-level updates during incidents and improvement initiatives.
Influence policies, standards, and operating models across IT operations.
People Leadership
Lead and develop a mid-to-large team of IT operations managers and professionals.
Set clear goals, accountability, and career development paths.
Champion a high-performance, continuous improvement culture.
Manage hiring, performance management, and professional development for the team.
Budget & Resource Management
Manage elements of operating and capital budgets.
Track spend, forecast resource needs, and align investments with operational priorities.
Operational Coverage
Help ensure 24/7 service availability and participate in leadership on-call/escalation rotations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization including with executives, physicians, and nurses, with the ability to discuss technical information in a meaningful way with persons of varying levels of expertise preferred.
Ability to demonstrate objectivity, sensitivity, and a balanced perspective regarding employee concerns and organizational issues preferred.
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to create clear, concise and prompt communications required.
Strong follow-through skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously required.
Exhibits managerial courage. Willing to take calculated risks and to speak up for the best interests of the team required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
