Job Details

Position Summary
The Senior Estimator will lead the estimating process for a variety of commercial construction projects, ensuring accurate cost evaluation and supporting strategic decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, deep construction cost knowledge, and collaborative problem-solving to prepare competitive, high-quality estimates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage comprehensive cost estimating efforts for pre-construction and bidding phases.
  • Review project documents, specifications, and drawings to identify scope, risks, and cost impacts.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate quantity takeoffs, cost analyses, and project budgets.
  • Collaborate with project leadership, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain and evaluate bids.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and recommend cost-effective alternatives.
  • Maintain estimating databases, historical cost information, and project benchmarks.
  • Support proposal preparation and participate in client presentations as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in commercial construction estimating or a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in construction cost estimating software and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent understanding of construction methods, materials, labor costs, and market pricing.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively across teams.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with construction management or estimating platforms such as Procore or similar systems.
  • Proven ability to produce accurate, competitive estimates for complex, multi-trade commercial projects.
