Job Overview:
Pay Range: $55.40hr - $58.47hr
Requirement/Must Have:
- Previous BMC Firmware development experience (e.g., Dell iDRAC, Dell CMC, HP iLo).
- Experience with Open Source Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) Software Stack (OpenBMC).
- Programming experience in JavaScript, Shell Scripting, Python, C, and C++.
- Knowledge of low-level protocols including I2c, I3c, JTAG, SPI, eSPI, UART, and PCIe.
- Proficiency with source version control systems like Git and review tools like Gerrit.
- Working knowledge of Linux Kernel programming and Linux driver development experience (JTAG, I2C, SPI).
- Hands-on experience working with Reference Boards.
- Experience with Linux gcc build and debug tools.
- Strong debug methodology and skills.
- Experience in server manageability architecture.
- Knowledge of software development process methodology.
- Knowledge of industry standard initiatives such as Redfish, PLDM, MCTP, and manageability protocols such as IPMI.
- 4+ years of firmware development experience.
- 2+ years of manageability firmware experience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop robust, innovative OpenBMC firmware releases for customer reference boards.
- Coordinate with architects, BIOS developers, vendors, and quality assurance teams.
- Perform BMC firmware development in an OpenBMC environment.
- Upstream work to the OpenBMC community and troubleshoot existing designs.
- Employ solid software methodologies and manageability design expertise to ensure on-schedule, defect-free firmware deliveries.
