Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our Software Development team in Woodlawn, MD. This role requires extensive experience developing and architecting ServiceNow solutions across multiple platform applications. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, mentorship, solution architecture, and development guidance while helping drive automation, optimization, operational reporting, and enterprise ServiceNow initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Team Lead and Senior ServiceNow Developer, providing technical direction and assistance to the development team.
  • Analyze customer requirements and develop solution architectures that address technical and management needs, maximize automation, and support operational reporting.
  • Lead the development of solution artifacts, including roadmaps, operational optimization plans, architecture diagrams, and block diagrams beyond individual User Story requirements.
  • Build prototypes and lead technical reviews and discussions based on defined requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level ServiceNow Developers.
  • Lead requirements-gathering and analysis sessions with diverse stakeholders.
  • Drive technical solutions and organizational change through strong technical leadership.
  • Develop and support full-platform ServiceNow solutions and third-party technology integrations.
  • Support IT-related data integrity across areas such as CMDB, Hardware Asset Management (HAM), and Software Asset Management (SAM).
  • Provide technical leadership in architecture, design principles, solution impacts, and platform optimization.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience, Master's degree with 5+ years of experience, or 11+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 7+ years of experience developing ServiceNow solutions across multiple platform applications, including ITSM, ITOM (HAM/SAM), ITBM, CSM, SecOps, GRC, and HR.
  • 5+ years of experience leading technical discussions and reviews.
  • 5+ years of experience developing system architecture, design principles, and impact assessments.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting IT-related data integrity, including CMDB, HAM, and SAM.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in areas such as Financial Services, Healthcare, High Tech, Manufacturing, Retail, or similar industries.
  • 5+ years of technical leadership experience driving organizational change and technical solutions.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and technical leadership skills.
  • Expertise in full-platform ServiceNow development and third-party technology integrations.
  • Experience leading requirements-gathering and analysis sessions with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with AWS Cloud Management Platform.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical solutions clearly and succinctly.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with web development technologies, including X-HTML, CSS3, SQL, XML, Angular, JavaScript, PHP, .NET, or Java.
  • Experience implementing JavaScript to support automation across ServiceNow modules.
  • Experience with REST and SOAP web service protocols.
  • Experience with Business Rules, Workflows, Identification Rules, Workspaces, and External Portals.
  • Knowledge of SAML, Active Directory, or LDAP.
  • Specialized ServiceNow Developer Certifications in areas such as ITSM, HAM, SAM, ITBM, CSM, SecOps, GRC, or TRM/APM.
  • ITIL v4 Foundations certification.
  • Project Management or Agile certification.
