SUMMARY Q2 is seeking a Systems Administrator who will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to Q2's high standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and support the deployment and administration of desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, Azure Virtual Desktops, and enterprise applications using Microsoft Intune, Jamf, and Nerdio
Perform security patching and updates on Windows and Linux systems during defined maintenance windows
Upgrade and maintain administrative tools and utilities; configure or implement new services as required to meet operational needs
Develop, maintain, and improve system documentation, procedures, and operational playbooks
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and drive operational efficiency through automation and process optimization
Conduct regular audits and support Compliance, Internal Audit, and Information Security reviews
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues affecting mission critical systems and applications to ensure high availability and performance
Provide Tier II support to internal stakeholders; investigate and resolve escalated technical issues
Implement, upgrade, and configure core infrastructure and asset management systems per project and operational requirements
Monitor and analyze system performance across the corporate environment to identify areas for enhancement
Manage Active Directory, including user/service account provisioning and deprovisioning
Produce regular system performance reports to support capacity planning and scalability
Manage password and identity lifecycle; enforce enterprise identity and access policies
Ensure adherence to all applicable security, confidentiality, availability, and privacy controls and policies
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration or related experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience; or related work experience
Strong expertise with identity management tools, including SSO and SAML 20 integrations
Solid experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware and other hypervisors
Hands-on experience managing cloud environments using Microsoft Azure and AWS
Proven experience with Okta user and application administration
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, including Entra ID (Azure AD) and Intune
Strong scripting skills with PowerShell; ability to automate routine tasks and workflows
Ability to work independently, collaboratively within a team, and across departments to resolve complex issues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Flexibility to participate in on call rotations and perform work during scheduled maintenance windows
Experience with project/task tracking using Jira or similar platforms
Familiarity with modern AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) is a plus
