Location: Huntsville, AL
Description:
Seekinga Configuration and Data Management Specialist to join our team located in Huntsville, AL.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform management of engineering changes for completeness and accuracy including configuration identification, control, verification, and status accounting
Provide guidance and support for configuration management practices, principles, and policies in accordance with the SED Enterprise Process Improvement and Collaboration (EPIC) procedures
Work with the Project Lead and the Project Team to ensure that all Configuration Items (CIs) are identified, documented, approved and controlled
Facilitate the SED Configuration Control Board (SCCB) meetings for managing software, hardware and documentation
Provide configuration status accounting to the Project Lead and the SCCB
Perform periodic configuration audits to verify integrity of the baselines and CM records
Prepare/submit Engineering Change Proposal (ECP)
Assist with configuration audits (as required)
Write and maintain the Configuration Management Plan
Support the software build and release process
Maintain strict version control of all software, hardware and documentation while following the EPIC process
Ship and track releases to the Customer/Program Office
Required Skills:
Proven experience in configuration management
Experience with supporting DoD organizations
Experience implementing and maintaining configuration management and document control processes
Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project) and Microsoft SharePoint
Work independently as well as in a team environment to contribute to the completion of tasks
Self-starter with above average communication skills
Willingness to take direction from management
Must have an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience
