Summary

Job Title: GitHub Administrator
Location: Austin, TX 78751 (Hybrid)-3 days remote with 2 days (Monday and Thursdays) onsite
Client: Texas Health and Human Services Commission
Duration: 6 Months+
 
Role Summary:

GitHub Administrator will be responsible for governance, security, compliance, and automation of the GitHub Enterprise platform. Ensure DevSecOps enablement, audit readiness, and standardized CI/CD practices across the enterprise software development lifecycle.

Years Required/Preferred Experience

Required experience in Git-based version control administration

Required Hands-on experience managing GitHub Enterprise (Cloud or Server) organizations

Required Expertise in RBAC, SAML/SSO, and branch protection strategies

Required Proficiency in GitHub Actions and YAML-based workflow automation

Required Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

Required Experience with audit logging, compliance reporting, and access reviews

Required Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation

Required Experience implementing DevSecOps practices within CI/CD pipelines

Required Experience with GitHub Advanced Security (CodeQL, Secret Scanning)

Preferred Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep)

Preferred Knowledge of policy-as-code implementations

Preferred Ability to document governance standards and developer guides

Preferred Experience leading technical enablement sessions
