RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in Maryland Heights, MO is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead highly visible customer-impacting initiatives across outage management, customer communications, network evolution, and operational systems. This is a fast-paced, high-accountability environment that requires a strong project leader who can navigate ambiguity, influence technical teams, manage competing priorities, and drive results despite shifting requirements and aggressive timelines. This position is best suited for someone who thrives in challenging environments, enjoys solving complex coordination problems, and can effectively manage programs where success depends on aligning multiple teams with differing priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a portfolio of 6-10 concurrent projects supporting Outage Management and Reliability initiatives
* Coordinate delivery across business, engineering, QA, architecture, operations, vendor, and leadership teams
* Drive project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and executive communications
* Lead recurring project reviews, status meetings, governance sessions, and stakeholder updates
* Track progress through testing, defect resolution, UAT, deployment, and production release activities
* Hold delivery teams accountable for commitments and escalate risks when timelines are threatened
* Coordinate PI Planning activities and large-scale cross-functional planning efforts
* Partner with vendors and internal development teams to address quality issues, delays, and resource constraints
* Facilitate discussions around project prioritization, roadmap impacts, and release readiness
* Provide executive-level reporting using PowerPoint and Excel
* Support reliability and customer experience initiatives that directly impact outage communications and service restoration processes
REQUIREMENTS:
* 7+ years of Project or Program Management experience in large enterprise environments
* Experience managing multiple concurrent technology projects
* Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
* Experience leading cross-functional teams without direct authority
* Strong risk, dependency, and issue management experience
* Experience managing software delivery through testing, UAT, and production deployment
Expert-level use of:
* Jira
* Excel
* PowerPoint
* Webex or similar collaboration tools
Preferred:
* Telecommunications experience
* Outage Management experience
* Reliability Engineering or Reliability Program experience
* Network Operations or Network Evolution program experience
* Customer communications or notification platform experience
* Experience working with large vendor organizations and holding them accountable for deliverables
Nice to have:
* SAFe/PI Planning experience
* Waterfall delivery experience
* Agile delivery experience
* Experience with operational support systems (OSS), customer systems, or outage platforms
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
