Job Description

CDM Smith is looking for a Construction Intern to join our CCI electrical and automation team in the Rancho Cucamonga, CA area.

You'll be working with a dynamic team of industry-leading construction managers and engineers on a diverse portfolio of public, federal, and industrial projects.

Students in this construction internship will primarily support the project manager, superintendent, and construction specialists.

All tasks will be a combination of work in the field and the office. You will be tasked with assisting in the following areas.
Project Admin: Assist with meetings, coordination, prep, meeting minutes, document control, manage job folders, submittals, RFI's and tracking logs.
Project Progress: Monitor work schedule and reporting progress, reviewing project documents in adherence with contract documents and CDM Smith policy for successful delivery.
Communications: Follow-up with vendors, subcontractors and internal project staff to ensure projects run smoothly.
Field support: Mobilization support, field measurements/layouts, assisting field crew, RFI collection and prep for review by Project Management staff, as-build documentation.
Additional tasks as assigned.

You will receive guidance and mentorship, allowed a certain level of autonomy with minimum oversite at times to nurture your professional growth.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelors in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology or realted discipline with an interest in power systems and/or electrical distribution.
