Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP VIM Functional Consultant with strong expertise in OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) and SAP FI/AP integration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in functional configuration, invoice processing workflows, business process analysis, and end-to-end VIM implementation and support.

The consultant will work closely with Finance, Accounts Payable, Procurement, and technical teams to design and implement scalable invoice management solutions within SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead functional design, configuration, implementation, and enhancement of OpenText VIM solutions.
• Gather business requirements from Finance, Accounts Payable, and Procurement stakeholders and translate them into functional solution designs.
• Configure and support VIM document types, process types, approval workflows, exception handling, validation rules, and invoice routing.
• Manage end-to-end vendor invoice processing for PO-based and non-PO invoices.
• Integrate and troubleshoot VIM processes with SAP FI/AP, SAP MM, and Logistics Invoice Verification (LIV).
• Analyze invoice exceptions, parked invoices, posting failures, workflow issues, and payment processing bottlenecks.
• Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with ABAP developers for custom enhancements, interfaces, reports, and workflow changes.
• Lead functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, UAT, and defect resolution.
• Provide functional leadership, best-practice recommendations, documentation, knowledge transfer, and end-user training.
• Support production incidents, root-cause analysis, performance improvements, and continuous process optimization.
• Participate in implementation, rollout, upgrade, and SAP ECC-to-S/4HANA transformation projects as required.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall SAP experience, including 4+ years of hands-on OpenText VIM experience.
• Strong functional expertise in SAP Vendor Invoice Management (VIM).
• Extensive knowledge of SAP FI/AP, vendor accounting, invoice verification, and procure-to-pay processes.
• Hands-on experience with VIM configuration, workflow design, approval routing, exception handling, and invoice posting.
• Strong experience with SAP MM integration and PO-based/non-PO invoice processing.
• Proven experience in VIM implementation, enhancements, and production support.
• Ability to prepare functional specifications and work effectively with SAP ABAP and technical teams.
• Experience leading requirement workshops, functional design discussions, testing, and stakeholder communication.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC environments.
• Knowledge of OpenText VIM Document Processing (DP), OCR, and invoice capture integrations.
• Experience with SAP Business Workflow, ArchiveLink, and document archiving.
• Knowledge of VIM reporting, process monitoring, and invoice exception analytics.
• Experience in global implementations, template rollouts, and finance transformation programs.
