Product Manager

Technical Product Manager Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid) Duration: 12+ Months

Client is looking for a strong Technical Product Manager for a twelve-month contract for a software development project. While in this role, you will collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to define strategy and drive features to execution. You will work hand-in-hand with Engineering, Technical Operations, and our development team.

You be responsible for creating the product roadmap and communicating on behalf of the team with stakeholders and leadership. We are seeking a systems thinker who acts like an owner with a sharp focus on the end user.

Job Responsibilities / Typical Day in the Role

• Define and articulate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap outlining key features and timelines.
• Translate customer needs and requirements into comprehensive product specifications.
• Work closely with engineering and design teams to ensure that requirements are clear and achievable.
• Author use cases and user stories; work closely with engineering leads to prioritize features and enhancements.
• Effectively communicate the product strategy and roadmap to stakeholders.
• Oversee the development teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.
• Define and oversee the testing process to guarantee products are defect-free before User Acceptance Testing.
• Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, including the development of rollout plans and procedures.
• Present to steering committees or project sponsors.
• Develop, track, and manage project plans, timelines, and scope.

Must Have Skills / Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in Product Management.
• Proven experience in software Product Management with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in large-scale, multi-platform systems environments including all phases of product lifecycle: planning, design, development, and implementation.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and the ability to lead these ceremonies.
• Strong people management and team-building skills.
• Proven ability to quickly learn business processes and collaborate effectively with business partners at various levels within the organization.
• Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions.

Nice to Have Skills / Preferred Requirements

• Prior Media experience and/or experience with Broadcast Control Rooms
• Cloud experience a plus.
