Your role

JOB SUMMARY:

The Wastewater Treatment Operator will operate the wastewater treatment system, operate the mechanical plating line, machine maintenance, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise. Operators are expected to run the wastewater treatment system and plating line. You will report to the Production Supervisors and Manager.

This is a 2nd shift opportunity: 2pm-10:30pm
  • You will operate a wastewater treatment system (Continuous Flow & Batch Treatment).
  • Charge treatment chemicals daily.
  • You will operate a multi-stage filter press.
  • Operate the plating line - will be trained as a plating operator.
  • Troubleshoot and repair specialized equipment: pumps, valves, piping, pH probes, flow meters, etc.
  • Work with the plating line to maximize production.
  • Ensure the daily history sheets, and all other related paperwork are filled out correctly, making sure all data is recorded, using proper forms and internal systems.
  • Operate the forklift truck - once trained and transfer raw/finished materials around the production area safely.
  • Reduce unplanned stops and maintain production requirements.
  • Responsible for the inventory management of important department materials (i.e. chemicals, testing supplies, etc.).

    • Knowledge of both Acids and Bases. (pH precipitation of several metals)
    • Mechanical and chemical knowledge. Can demonstrate some level of mechanical/chemical experience and/or training.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (can maintain spreadsheets)).
    • Extremely reliable and team-oriented
    • Previous wastewater experience, especially in the field of metal precipitation.
    • Plating line operation experience.
    • State certified wastewater certification in neutralization or chemical clarification.
    • Familiarity with J-Mark wastewater treatment systems.
    • Understanding of the chemistry of the plating process and wastewater treatment process.
    • Knowledge of ISO 14001.
