Sr Frontend Engineer

Our client is seeking a strong UI Developer with at least 8+ years of experience to join the Market Risk Technology team supporting the buildout of a brand-new market risk application. The team is focused on developing modern, scalable front-end solutions that support trading and risk management functions across the organization.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building applications from the ground up in a highly visible environment. While prior market risk or financial services experience is a plus, the team is open to strong UI engineers from any domain background.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modern front-end applications using React and JavaScript
• Build highly responsive and scalable UI components for a new market risk platform
• Work extensively with AG Grid for complex data visualization and grid-based interfaces
• Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and technology leadership to define UI requirements and application functionality
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to front-end best practices
• Optimize application performance and user experience
• Support ongoing enhancements and feature development initiatives

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with React.js
• Solid JavaScript development experience
• Experience building enterprise-level UI applications
• Experience working with AG Grid or similar advanced data grid technologies
• Strong understanding of front-end architecture and component-based development
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to financial services, capital markets, trading, or risk technology environments
• Experience building data-heavy or real-time applications
• Familiarity with REST APIs and integration with backend services
• Experience with modern front-end tooling and frameworks
