Finance Lead, Operations Finance – Costing (various locations) Atlanta, Georgia

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Lead with a background in the semiconductor industry to guide our SAP S/4 HANA migration. This role will act as a key liaison between Operations Finance and cross-functional technical teams, ensuring precise process documentation, robust system design, and a seamless transition from SAP ECC to SAP S/4 HANA. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in inventory cost accounting, variance analysis, and project leadership, and thrives in transformational environments focused on process improvements and AI initiatives. 

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

SAP S/4 HANA Migration & Implementation 

  • Serve as the Operations Finance representative in the SAP S/4 HANA migration, aligning system design with business needs. 
  • Lead comprehensive process documentation, including AS-IS and TO-BE workflows for Operations Finance. 
  • Collaborate with IT, manufacturing, and operations to support solution design, configuration reviews, testing, and readiness activities, leveraging semiconductor manufacturing knowledge. 
  • Participate in design workshops to integrate finance impacts (inventory, costing, variances, close processes) into S/4 HANA, applying industry best practices. 
  • Oversee data validation, reconciliation, and cutover to ensure smooth migration. 

 

Finance Projects & Operational Efficiency 

  • Lead or contribute to other Finance and cross-functional projects, such as system enhancements and process automation. 
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, communication, and stakeholder alignment. 
  • Promote collaboration and standardization across finance processes using semiconductor industry expertise. 

 

Financial Close & Inventory Cost Accounting 

  • Support month-end close activities related to inventory and cost accounting 
  • Ensure accurate inventory valuation, including standard cost updates, reserves, and necessary adjustments. 
  • Contribute to financial reporting and perform detailed manufacturing variance analysis.  
  • Identify and drive automation opportunities across financial close processes, variance analysis, and data validation. 

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. 
  • 6+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing finance, with strong focus on inventory and cost accounting.  
  • Extensive hands-on experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4 HANA, particularly within Finance and Controlling (FI/CO) modules, includes configuration knowledge, process troubleshooting, and end-to-end validation. 
  • In-depth understanding of semiconductor cost structures, including standard costing, complex BOM and routing configurations, manufacturing variance analysis, and inventory valuation methodologies applicable to wafer fabrication and backend operations.  
  • Proven skills in process documentation, system design, and major system implementations or transformations. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex cost flows and large data sets to drive actionable insights and ensure accuracy 
  • Analytical mindset with excellent communication, collaboration, and project leadership abilities. 
  • Experience or strong interest in AI, automation, or advanced analytics is a plus
